Assessment Data Secretary - High School

JOB TITLE:  Assessment Data Secretary 

TYPE OF POSITION: Classified 

REPORTS TO: Principal/Assistant Principal

POSITION PURPOSE: Compiles and maintains student records by performing the following duties: 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. 

1. Create testing rosters and/or schedules. 

2. Revise and prepare training materials. 

3. Schedule training sessions for all staff. 

4. House test secure materials and related documentation. 

5. Prepare State reports. 

6. Communicate information about testing dates, site, etc., with students and staff. 

7. Work to support Student Services department. 

8. Corresponds with parent and students regarding Internet grade access passwords. 

9. Prepares other reports as needed (i.e., attendance reports, conduct reports, grade distribution reports, etc.) 

10.Prepares and distributes labels and class rosters as needed. 

11. Assists the guidance/student services secretary as needed. 

12.Performs other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

2. High school diploma. 

3. Ability to accurately prepare written reports and correspondence. 

4. Ability to communicate effectively with groups of students and parents. 

5. Skills in human relations. 

6. Ability to plan and organize; good work habits. 

7. Ability to type accurately at a minimum speed of 50 words per minute. Employee should also be able to use the machines, tools, equipment, and work aids which may be representative, but not all inclusive, of the commonly associated with the type of work, i.e., computers, printers, copiers, tools, charts, forms, ledgers, and schedules.Guidance Records/Data Secretary Job Description Page 2 

8. Proficiency in Excel/Word and mail merges required. 

9. Other qualifications that the School Board may require.
