JOB TITLE: Bilingual Outreach Coordinator/Receptionist, Education Center 

TYPE OF POSITION: Classified

REPORTS TO: Chief of Staff / Director of Communications

PAY CLASS: 261 Days; Class III, Hourly ($18.00-$21.25 depending on experience)

POSITION PURPOSE: Serves as a first point of contact for visitors to the Concord Education Center, greeting them in a professional manner and contacting the appropriate employee to assist them. Provides district-level translation and interpretation services as needed. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

  1. Serve as a key member of the Education Center front office team, ensuring consistent, high-quality customer service for Concord families, staff, and community members.

  2. Provides outreach and communication services for new and returning families, with an

emphasis on serving Spanish-speaking families.

  1. Serve as a district resource for bilingual communication, helping families access information, services, and support.

  2. Provide written translation of district documents, forms, letters, and other communications to support effective communication with multilingual families.

  3. Provide oral interpretation services for phone calls and district-level family interactions as needed.

  4. Answer incoming calls, respond to emails and messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate individual or department.

  5. Collect, distribute, and prepare incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.

  6. Greet and assist new families with student enrollment, including completion of enrollment paperwork and communication with school secretaries and other departments.

  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Fluent in Spanish and English. 

  2. Able to plan, organize, and multitask, managing multiple projects and phone calls simultaneously. 

  3. Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal skills necessary to consistently interact with visitors, clients and staff members in a professional, courteous manner that reflects a positive image upon the district. 

  4. Able to prepare written reports and correspondence effectively to a variety of internal and external contacts.

  5. Familiarity with Google suite, including email, calendars, and other basic office functions preferred. 

  6. High school diploma required. Additional education, training, or related experience preferred. 

  7. Other qualifications that the School Board may require.
