POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: District Technology Technician
School/Department: Education Center
Supervisor: Director of Technology
Terms of Employment: 12-Month, Salaried Professional Employment
Primary Function:
Provide front-line technical support by maintaining, repairing, and deploying district hardware, software, and network devices to ensure efficient operation for students, staff, and administrators.
Essential Duties:
Provide front-line support for district technology needs, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data, communication, and peripheral devices.
Assist with the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of District-owned Technology equipment
Investigate and resolve trouble tickets assigned from the District work order system.
Use the work order system consistently with thorough documentation.
Assist with inventory of district-owned technology and A/V assets.
Perform all other reasonably related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Technology.
Equipment Deployment tasks such as:
Maintain consistent and updated computer images
Assist in software deployment
Assist in configuring devices for end-user use
Prepare devices for installation and delivery
Essential Qualifications and Characteristics:
High School Diploma / G.E.D.
Understanding of Chrome and Windows-based computer equipment
Mechanically Oriented
CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Certificate, or similar industry-recognized certifications preferred.
Willingness and ability to grow and earn technology-related certifications.

The ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with others
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Effective organizational skills
The ability to adhere to strict confidentiality policies
Experience with MDM tools (like Jamf, Google Admin Console) preferred
General knowledge areas include:
iOS devices and apps
Printers and Copiers
Network connectivity
A/V equipment
Google Apps for Education
Windows/MacOS/Chrome Operating Systems
Working Conditions:
The duties of this position are performed in a classroom environment. Persons are required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distant vision, and depth perception. Noise levels in the working environments may be moderately loud or loud. Occasionally, persons are required to work outdoors in varied weather conditions. Persons are also required to maintain emotional composure under stress.
