JOB TITLE: Summer Parent-Liaison-Bilingual Summer School Receptionist
TYPE OF POSITION: Classified
REPORTS TO: Summer School Administrator
Work Schedule: up to 13 days at 4 hours per day (8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
Pay: $15.75-$19.75 an hour based on experience
POSITION PURPOSE: The job of Bilingual School Receptionist is for the purpose of translating information to students, parents, staff, and/or other districts; and supporting the broad array of services provided to students, parents, instructional and support employees, especially those who speak Spanish.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
each essential function satisfactorily.
Answer phones and emails and greets patrons
Issue student and staff ID’s
Contacts parents regarding daily attendance
Data entry
Assists during fire drills
Translate documents and office correspondence
Translate phone calls for principal’s message home
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma
Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence
Skills in human relations
Ability to plan and organize; good work habits
Ability to use machines, tools, and equipment of those commonly associated with this type of
work, i.e., intercom, P.A. system, telephone equipment, entry books, etc.
The ability to operate all office equipment
Other qualifications that the School Board may require
